What I know about you — and what I don't

Privacy policy.

Last updated: May 2026 · Applies to livstenbjerg.dk

This site is about music, slow mornings, and honesty. That applies to how I handle your information too. Here is everything I store — and everything I don't.

A small note: on this page, "I" means Dong Le — the real person behind the Liva project — rather than Liva herself. Liva is a fictional artist. The responsibility for your information is not.

What I store about you

There is exactly one situation where I store personal information about you: if you sign up for my newsletter.

When you subscribe, I store:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address

That's it. Nothing else.

The purpose is solely to send you my monthly newsletter — new songs, blog posts, and occasionally something unfinished that you'll hear before anyone else.

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by signing up. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing via the link at the bottom of any newsletter — and your information will be deleted immediately and permanently.

What I never do

Your information is never sold, shared, rented out, or passed on to any third parties — ever. Not to advertising companies, streaming services, social media platforms, analytics firms, or anyone else.

I don't use any third-party tools for email marketing. The newsletter is sent directly from my own server.

Anonymous visitor stats

I use a self-built, anonymised analytics tool to understand whether the music and writing actually reaches people.

The system tracks things like: which pages are visited, whether a song gets played, and whether a blog post is read to the end. All of it works via a temporary, randomly generated session ID that cannot be linked back to you as a person. It doesn't store your IP address, browser information, device, or location.

You can read more about how it works technically in my cookie policy.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding any information I may hold about you:

  • Right of access — you can ask to see what I've stored at any time.
  • Right to rectification — if something is wrong, I'll fix it.
  • Right to erasure — you can ask me to delete your information. For newsletter subscribers, deletion happens automatically upon unsubscribing.
  • Right to data portability — you can ask to receive your information in a readable format.
  • Right to lodge a complaint — you can file a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency at datatilsynet.dk.

To exercise any of these rights: write to me at contact@livstenbjerg.dk. I'll respond within 30 days.

Storage and security

Your information is stored on a secured server. Newsletter information (name and email) is kept for as long as you remain subscribed — and deleted immediately upon unsubscribing.

I don't keep personal information for longer than necessary.

Changes to this policy

If I change anything here, I'll update the date at the top of the page. If the changes are significant, I'll let newsletter subscribers know by email.
